Our Mandore Tours transport you to a wonderful region where history and adventure go hand in hand. At a distance of 9 km from the main center of Jodhpur, Mandore used to serve as the royal capital of Marwar before Jodhpur was established. This quaint little town today boasts of some of the most beautiful and important relics of the past that still reverberate with tales of their former glory.

Mandore was given as a wedding gift to a Rathore prince when he married a Pratihara princess. Since then it has always been associated with the grandeur and bravery of the Rajputs. Mandore is famous for its well laid out gardens and royal cenotaphs that add up to a truly memorable tour. The red sandstone cenotaphs were built in memory of some of the greatest Rathore kings and queens and are beautifully set in the midst of lush green lawns. In fact, these cenotaphs are wonderful works of art with their spires and columns. Referred to as "dewals" by the local populace, some of these cenotaphs even reach up to height of four stories!

The beautiful temple of the "3 hundred million Gods" is a place to visit during you Mandore tour. Colorfully painted figures of Hindu deities and mythological figures mesmerize visitors with their sheer execution. The "Hall of Heroes" is another interesting place that is located right next to the shrine.

As part of your Mandore tour, visit the Mandore gardens and enjoy a relaxed walk along the beautiful pathways with peacocks frolicking around. The rock terrace that adorns the garden offers a truly fantastic view of the surroundings. A trek to the Mandore ruins is another option, which adventure freaks would greatly enjoy.
